VISIO

Is a complete softare and harware programmable reference design for digital content processing

It is based on an open platform with a fully programmable computing core.
ViSio is a re-usable, cost optimized dual-core computing board, featuring a Texas Instruments’ TMS320DM642™ Digital Media processor and a Host CPU. This processing board is connected to an I/O interface board.

The dual processor board combines the best of two worlds:
- DSP video co-processor
- Host CPU (Linux OS) for peripherals, communication, end-user applications/services
The interface board includes audio and video inputs and outputs and peripheral interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, RS-232, CAN bus, alarms,…
ViSio solves all audio/video key issues: lip sync, transport, streaming.
It is a modular solution and a ready-to-use hardware. Thus, no re-design is needed.
This reference design is delivered in a black metal case with keypad and LEDs on its front panel and an infra-red remote control.

ViSio reference design provides an ideal environment for the development and prototyping of a wide range of embedded applications, particularly in the Video Security and Multimedia fields: traffic control, stadiums, transportation, urban surveillance, ariports, banks, casinos, buildings, but also for corporate TV, interactive video forums, video learning, video medicine,…
This new reference design supports Ateme’s complete software offer for audio and video compression.
