Advanced Audio Coding is 30% more powerful than MP3 (MPEG Audio Layer III) in terms of quality/bit-rate ratio, MPEG-4-AAC is developed for high quality sound compression.
Processing power is optimised on the Texas Instruments 'C6000 DSP family.

Compatible with both MPEG-2 – AAC and MPEG-4 - AAC standards, ATEME AAC software library encodes or decodes in real-time on the 'C6200 DSP and uses less than 5% of CPU on a C6400.Our algorithm supports compression from 8kbps to 288kbps per channel, sampling frequency from 8kHz to 48kHz and offer Low Complexity Profile along with enhanced tools such as PNS and TNS.

MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 Audio Layer 3 is the spreadest high quality sound compression algorithm. Processing power is optimized on the Texas Instruments 'C6000 DSP family.

Optimized for the Texas Instruments 'C6000 DSP family, ATEME MPEG Audio software library encodes or decodes in real-time on the 'C6200 DSP and uses less than 5% of CPU on a C6400.

Our algorithm supports decompression of MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-2.5 Audio Layer 1, 2 and 3 and compression of MPEG-,
MPEG-2 and MPEG-2.5 Audio Layer III.
Bitrate range if from 8kbps to 320kbps per channel and sampling frequency from 8kHz to 48kHz.

ADPCM (Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation)

IMA-ADPCM is the most suited codec when CPU resources are already used by video and when audio is more an additional than a primary feature.

It’s a low cost solution for simple audio compression that requires low CPU load. IMA-ADPCM is independent of sound type (not a speech or psycho-acoustic codec).

The codec is available for the Texas Instruments 'C64x DSP family (DM64x included) and for PC.
It is compatible with most media players and operating systems used with client systems.

ADPCM

CELP (Code Excited Linear Prediction)

MPEG-4 - CELP targets applications that require voice compression at low bit-rate.
This new standard enables various uses and applications while grouping all the available configuration of the different previous CELP standards.
This product has been optimised for Texas Instruments DSP TMS320C67x for real-time implementation on embedded systems.
Flexible solution, MPEG-4 - CELP allows different usage such as: configurable bitrate (from 3.85 to 23 Kbps), sampling frequency (8 to 16 kHz), excitation mode (MPE and RPE), bandwidth (3.3 or 7 kHz), ...
